CE Marking on Shutters

The CE marking is a mandatory conformity marking for the free circulation of products in countries belonging to the European Community and to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The CE marking for construction products is not a quality marking but represents a certificate of conformity with all requirements of the 89/106/EEC Directive of 21st December 1988. Each component inserted in a building envelope must, in fact, meet the following six essential requirements:

  1. mechanical resistance and stability
  2. safety in case of fire
  3. safety and accessibility in use
  4. energy economy and heat retention
  5. protection against noise
  6. hygiene, health and the environment.
